We invite you to read our Diesel ON Full Guard Smartwatch review, a technological watch with beautiful design.
Smart watches can also look like real watches, not just the bizarre gadgets for smartphones. This is demonstrated by the new ON Full Guard Diesel system. We studied the clock closely in our Diesel ON Full Guard review.Diesel, a popular name in the fashion industry, also licenses its name to Fossil Group to manufacture watches. He has already tested a hybrid watch, the Diesel On, and has now launched an Android Wear model called Diesel On Full Guard Smartwatch. Made for technology companies, adopted by fashion brands, which is one of the best ways to summarize Android Wear. The platform was introduced for the first time to bring the Android operating system to the wrist, but now that smartphone manufacturers have not had much luck attracting a broad audience, fashion brands are taking a chance. Popular brands such as Fossil and Michael Kors, mostly under the umbrella of the Fossil Group, have launched smartwatches including Q Marshal and Access.
Diesel On Full Guard - Exit and price
With a price of 350 $ (At the time of writing), Diesel ON Full Guard is not necessarily a bargain, especially because at first glance it cannot compete with some of its competitors in terms of features: it does not offer a GPS or a heart rate monitor, for example. However, the focus is not on sports use, but on design and suitability for everyday use. Diesel ON Full Guard is available online and at Diesel stores.Discover more and the price here
Diesel On Full Guard - Design and assembly
The Diesel brand is part of the Swiss group Fossil Group, which brings together numerous fashion labels under one roof. Fossil has already acquired some experience with the smartwatch with its Q series. Unlike other Fossil Group watches, the Diesel ON Full Guard is not a hybrid watch with a real dial and some smart features, but a complete smartwatch watch with touchscreen display. The Diesel smartwatch is big and rather catchy. This is not a surprise looking at regular watches and other products of the brand. Its brushed stainless steel case has a thickness of 12 mm and is quite heavy and the external dimensions are 48x54 mm. The workmanship is very good, even if the watch has slightly sharp edges. Diesel offers the smartwatch with different straps. The leather one is quite stiff but well made and comfortable to wear. Anyone who wants to replace it can still use any standard 24mm wide strap.Diesel On Full Guard - Display
The Diesel ON Full Guard has a circular OLED display with a diameter of 1.39 inches. The resolution of 454x454 pixels is pleasantly high and provides clear images. Despite the wide metal casing, the visible surface of the screen does not exceed the surface of the protective glass and a black ring about two millimeters wide surrounds it.The representation of the display colors in the Diesel watch is pleasant, even if the image looks a little bluish when changing the viewing angle. The automatic brightness control works excellently and also ensures that the watch does not shine unpleasantly in the dark, for example at the cinema. The contents shown by Diesel ON Full Guard were easily readable during the test at any time. Its scratch-resistant cover glass (which the manufacturer does not specify) still looks new even after three weeks of daily use. The controls on the touch screen work accurately.
Diesel On Full Guard - Software
Android Wear 2.0 is used on the Diesel ON Full Guard. The manufacturer has pre-installed a series of dials that have some pleasant surprises in store. The standard watch face displays a second overlay screen with a double-click, the so-called head-up display. All quadrants show lots of data, such as weather, a second time zone, battery status, pedometer and date. Aesthetics can be adapted simply and flexibly to your needs. The smartwatch also has some original features. For example, virtual dust accumulates on the display when the watch's owner is moving too little or the display shows cracks in the glass when there are notifications. They are nice things but without real added value. Due to the lack of a heart rate monitor and GPS the Full Guard is not particularly suitable for sportsmen. So it's no wonder that, in addition to Google Fit, there are no specific apps on the smartwatch even if you can install them later.
